Why volunteer with us?
The best part about volunteering with The Lyttle Wonderminds is knowing you’re helping to create a safe, welcoming space where neurodivergent children can relax, play, make friends, and just be themselves. By giving your time, you’ll also be supporting parents and carers who may feel isolated or overwhelmed, helping them feel seen, understood, and less alone. Even a couple of hours can make a real difference — whether that’s playing games, helping with crafts, making a cuppa, or simply being a friendly face.

What you will do
Volunteers may help with setting up the room before sessions, tidying away afterwards, welcoming families, and helping children take part in activities such as arts and crafts, soft play, puzzles, games, sensory play, and reading. You might also help by asking parents and carers if they’d like a hot drink and biscuits, supporting us at events, helping with little practical jobs, and sharing ideas to make our group even better. Most importantly, volunteers help create a friendly, calm, and fun space where children and families feel welcome, included, and supported.

Volunteer specifications
Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. We’re looking for kind, patient, understanding, and non-judgemental people who enjoy being around children and families. A good sense of humour is always welcome too! All volunteers must be willing to undergo a PVG check.
"I choose to volunteer for The Lyttle Wonderminds because I feel very passionate about helping these children feel included. It's not a disability its a different ability"🌟
